The daughter of a psychiatrist, Leslie Tucker‘s early artistic influences were MAD Magazine’s subversiveness, Alfred Hitchcock’s voyeuristic examinations of ordinary people; Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory tests probing psychopathologies; and Thematic Apperception Tests, a series of provocative yet ambiguous images encouraging the expression of emotional conflicts.
