As many of you know, on Thursday 6th October, all the sins not only launched our inaugural issue but we were also talking art in the real world, in a collaboration with all the sins contributor, Lucy Furlong, and her merry band of artists over at Seethingography.
The event had a great turnout with people of all ages participating in poetry activities. With our love for all things digital, all the sins created what we called a ‘breathing poem’ with participants throughout the day. We asked people to text lines of poetry to an online programme, which turned them into a cloud of poetry that changed as people submitted.
We loved working with everyone, especially the people who surprised themselves with their ability to write poetry! Have a look at some of the iterations of the breathing poem below. We hope you enjoy and are inspired to think about the opportunities that the internet and collaboration offer you in your creative work.
Some of our favourite combinations generated: ‘cherry gigabyte nothings’, ‘leap flash lighthouse’, ‘synergy coloured leap’, ‘chirpy overload’, ‘exhausted denominator’ and, of course, ‘boom chappie’ and ‘boom cheepy’ and even ‘boom cheepy chappie’. Have some fun with language today; remind yourself that it can be fun and funny and see what you come up with.
See you soon with our next feature and call for submissions!
